This is an original piece created by me for no other reason than wanting to make something that would inspire awe in the viewer.
The Protector
My inspiration can be traced back to my Asian heritage and my family. As a Vietnamese-American, it is difficult to connect to my culture while living in a foreign country, but I desire to maintain and improve upon my current connection to the motherland. To do so, I use my art as a way to learn more about my culture and implement my knowledge into my art pieces.

Young Greek Philosopher
Two summer vacation trips inspired this artwork. In 2023, I visited Paris, where one of my favorite paintings was ”A Sunday Afternoon On The Island of La Grande Jatte” (Georges Seurat) at the Musee d’Orsay.

This piece is inspired by a quote from Act IV, Scene i, of Shakespeare’s “King Lear,” regarding Gloucester’s loyalty to a leader who has gone mad.
