About the Creative Youth Awards
The Creative Youth Awards (CYA) were founded by the Bay Area Creative Foundation to foster artistic expression and creativity in high school students across a variety of artistic disciplines. Submissions are reviewed by arts industry leaders who share our dedication to encouraging and celebrating creativity in youth.
This year’s CYAs received over 1,800 submissions and distributed over $109,000 in cash awards to 592 students, including 9 Presidential and 2 Creative Artist Awardees - each receiving $1,000 awards. The Creative Youth Awards culminate in the annual Creative Youth Celebration.
All qualified artist applicants received a free year membership to MasterClass - the premier online learning platform that streams lessons delivered by recognized masters of their craft.
