The Dragon

  • This drawing represents more than just a drawing from Harry Potter; it captures a moment of awe and wonder I experienced for the first time. Visiting Universal Studios, I stood beneath the dragon perched atop the towering structure, its jaw open in a frozen roar, fire occasionally spewing out. It wasn’t just the complexity of the design that captivated me, it was the way it brought back my childhood fantasy. As I sketched, I thought about how we create dragons to embody power, fear, and imagination. Seeing it in person, I felt small, I felt like a little girl again. This was my first visit to Universal Studios, and it marked a moment of childlike wonder I thought I had lost. Through this piece, I wanted to preserve that feeling, blending the awe of the moment with the personal joy of seeing this dragon.

  • Creativity is a portal to my childhood—a time when everything felt possible, and my imagination knew no limits. It’s the magic of turning ideas into something visible, and tangible, a way to reconnect with wonder and innocence. Through drawing, I rediscover joy, curiosity, and the purest parts of myself.
