Throughout years of experimentation, I have come to gain an understanding of the difficulties that arise within the world of Creative Writing.

These are a mixture of little poems scattered throughout ‘saying goodbye to a loved one’.

My name is Aiden and this is my first year in Creative Writing.

”Echoes of Eternal” is a litany that explores the depth of love, the complexity of the feeling of love, and the pain one can find within love, vulnerability, and transcendence into a concept beyond human understanding.

I never choose when I want to write,it just comes to me.

I spend a lot of time in nature, in the woods and mountains, the valleys and rivers.

This poem communicates how my perspective the early morning has changed as I have grown.

I wrote three poems all about personal experiences I tried not to submit any about sensitive topics but one deals with diet culture.

My relationship with my grandma has always been complicated.

This year, I’ve found myself often using the current climate crisis to reflect on my identity and interpersonal relationships and vice versa.

I wrote a poem about the injustice of Asian hate specifically against COVID 19, because I wanted to bring awareness towards Asian hate and how harmful stereotypes can be.

I have been struggling with my self lately, especially regarding my beliefs and who I am.

The story is romance based in a science fiction setting, focuses on how a traveler Ray, in his grief for his partner Grey, who went missing during a meteor shower on their way to Earth, spends three hours on their spacecraft ”Alioth” after landing, eventually gathers his mind to begin his journey again.

As someone who as struggled with an eating disorder, this poem is close to my heart and I hope it will become close to the hearts of many more people in the future.

I wrote the poem “Bring Me” in a response to how a girl or any person may feel in the moment of confronting something traumatic. Having to stand up to the one who hurt you and how difficult it may be but realizing it’s not only for you but for all.

This piece is derived from the fruit of my frustration with American politics.

My piece centers on the feeling of paranoia, that even when no one is there in reality, you can always feel something.

I wrote this poem based on a painting by Marc Ellen Hamel, so this piece is my interpretation of the artwork.
