• Artist Statement

  I wrote this poem based on a painting by Marc Ellen Hamel, so this piece is my interpretation of the artwork. I wanted it to include elements of darker settings and lighter, and colorful descriptions– like how the painting mixes really warm, bright colors with blacks and greys.

• Creative Statement

  Creativity means to me reflecting all of the thoughts you have in a physical way that everyone can see. So for me this would be through my writing.
