The New! The Best! POCS! is a story about the newest VR console on the market. It’s for the most privileged to be placed in the eyes of someone of color. I was inspired to make this story based on the experiences of many black and brown men alike. So I made a satirical piece on those experiences.

This poem was inspired in part by the death of Leelah Alcorn, a trans teenage woman who died by suicide as a result of her parents' constant abuse. While writing this poem, I thought about my own experience as a trans Christian and the spirituality and pain of one's own bodily imperfection.
