I challenged myself by working with negative space in a Linocut stamp.

This piece was the most challenging for me, and the results are the fruit of the many hours of struggling labor.

I wanted my mandala to have a nature theme so I decided to use different shades if blue to depict water and I added sea creatures like starfish.

I grew up drawing and painting mandalas since the age of six with my dad who was a self-taught, accomplished artist.

This artwork is inspired by the cubism movement of the 1920s.

I’ve always been scared of the dark so decide to make a draw of that using oil pastels on a canvas.

I created this artwork from a still life that I arranged, using the object of a skull as the main focus.

To dive into the concept of how we often lose ourselves, this art piece depicts a large vast sky filled with seemingly endless possibilities-- who could imagine a whale among the clouds?

I based this off of a resin block with a cloud design inside as if it was cut out from the sky.

I started with a few lines and indications of space between parts of the face. I leave the darkest colors for last so I filled in the large portions/ lightest colors.

Creativity is what sets us apart and makes us unique. It allows people to express themselves freely and represents the difference in our perceptions of the world. Creativity helps bring down peoples' walls and allows a glimpse into the beauty of our minds.
