Each creature in this artwork reprsents someone in my life that holds meaning, the creature they are represented by is how I see them personally.

This artwork explores themes of abandonment, isolation, and the immigrant experience through my perspective as a teenage boy from Honduras adjusting to life in the United States.

This work was created using colored pencil in roughly 20 hours.

”Amalgamation” (A4M2LgTion) is a work born from my interest in the intersections between art and science. In this piece, I utilized oil and acrylic paints, metallic markers, dried paint textures, and detailed drawings to explore the hidden beauty of life on a microscopic level.

I used AI as a collaborative tool, putting in a prompt, and then using that to use as a reference for my painting, which helped me emphasize the flaws in Ai.

While drawing this still life I creatively used previously acquired knowledge of the rules of perspective, skills of constructive construction of objects on the plane, acquired skills to identify three-dimensional forms with chiaroscuro and convey the texture of objects.

My art demonstrates the overwhelming hold perfectionism has on me and challenged me to embrace my imperfections to create meaningful art for other people struggling with self love.
