• Artist Statement

  This vase was thrown on the wheel and decorated with black underglaze portraits of my classmates. It was then raku-fired with a clear crackle glaze, creating the smokey cracks that run down the vessel’s walls. This vase celebrates ”my people,” my ceramics classmates, who inspire and motivate me to create art.

  Creativity means making art that is fulfilling and joyful. When you look at creative art, something clicks, and it makes you feel good.
