Not My Home
This piece is a short journey into dementia/Alzheimer's, as experienced by an elderly woman in a nursing home.
Plant Two Recruit
This is the final for the screenwriting class I took last year. I wanted to blend sci-fi and the current stresses of high school for a main character.
Untouchable
When writing this piece, I wanted to dive into the minds of one of my characters. Ever since I was young, I've always enjoyed creating stories about various types of people and this character named Vincent Kree was one of them.
Sisyphus' Highway, Labor Day, and A Romantic Kind of Fruit
My love and relationships inspired these three poems. “Sisyphus’ Highway” explores my feelings about the California Wildfires.
Schadenfreude
When she visited our house for Christmas, my grandmother brought her collection of old newspapers documenting various historical events.
Three Poems
I have a habit of overanalyzing events in my life. These poems are about things that I can't stop thinking about.
Life as a Female
It started out as an English assignment which was inspired by the strong female figures in my life.
Pixels
I wrote this piece a month or so after the attempt. Even though writing is a coping mechanism I had yet to write about an attempt like this and I wanted to challenge myself to be even more vulnerable about more taboo topics such as this in hopes of reaching other people with similar experiences.
Infected Love
I had a rough day and I just wanted to create something that would make me proud or at least be sorta good.
Why I Wasn't Born Like Her
"Why I Wasn't Born Like Her" is a poem written when I was in recovery for anorexia.
It's Just the Wind
"It's Just The Wind" is a short horror script centered around a worried man named Jessie, who wakes up his wife Chloe in the middle of the night after hearing a scream outside their bedroom. This work explores the morbid, unsettling aspects of the unknown, highlighting two different kinds of people: the scared, and the non-believers.
Tallies in a Little Blue Notebook
"Tallies in a Little Blue Notebook" is about my experiences with Tourette’s Syndrome. From the perspectives of my tics, I grapple with the ableism I have faced and internalized over time.
A Microfiction Collection
I really enjoy writing microfiction, because the possibility of telling a story in such a short amount of words is fascinating to me. I wrote this collection with inspiration from common experiences that are sadly underrepresented.
Forget Me Not, Returning to My Roots, Withering
I like to express my creativity through poetry. Not everyone immediately thinks of this as an art form, but I enjoy writing it as a way to express and evoke my thoughts and feelings in an intuitive and transparent matter.
