Through the Years

Four girls of different ages sit in a car. They’re the same person. On the drive home from school, Ash, a senior in high school, is met with her Junior, Sophomore, Freshman and Seventh-Grade self. Senior Ash has to confront and calm down her past selves who are disappointed in her and each other, but they turn on her and themselves quickly. Acceptance comes when Senior Ash meets Eighth Grade Ash and finally accepts the person she hated the most. Although daily life is still a struggle, Ash remains proud of herselves by embracing who she was and who she is.
Through the Years reflects my experience with recognizing my past selves as part of the person I am today. The script encompasses my struggle to accept that I cannot erase my past through a physical manifestation of who I was confronting who I am.

Expressing myself through creative means is very therapeutic. It's my primary coping skill and I've found a community in sharing my work.
