It's Just the Wind

Jodee U.

  • "It's Just The Wind" is a short horror script centered around a worried man named Jessie, who wakes up his wife Chloe in the middle of the night after hearing a scream outside their bedroom. This work explores the morbid, unsettling aspects of the unknown, highlighting two different kinds of people: the scared, and the non-believers.

In this story, I wanted to explore the horror genre, as I do not normally write horror stories. The banter between Jessie and Chloe is intended to model a married couple well into their marriage, with each other growing tired of their partner's habits. Additionally, I wanted to challenge myself by writing in a format I have never dabbled in before: screenwriting.

  • Creativity, to me, is freedom. I am able to express myself in a multitude of words, concepts, and images. Creativity allows me to create a safe space for myself, where I can explore non-conventional topics and ideas.
