This is the final for the screenwriting class I took last year. I wanted to blend sci-fi and the current stresses of high school for a main character. Straight-A student Marshall Romanov has never seen the light of day, but he doesn't know better. He's been lied to his whole life about what really lies above the false sky projected onto the cave ceilings. Part of the Golduggians, an underground post-apocalyptic race, he discovers a hatch to the surface and decides to explore. The oppressive and violent government will do anything to stop him from spreading the word. He's thrust from a world of studying and college applications to being a fugitive.my struggle to accept that I cannot erase my past through a physical manifestation of who I was confronting who I am.

Writing in all its forms is incredibly freeing for me. For as long as I can remember I've been writing stories of all kinds, as both an emotional/creative outlet, and as a way of conveying my imagination to others. Writing, although emotionally taxing, almost always affects my life positively.
