In Our Darkness
This poem describes the connection between my past and present self. I've recently been reminiscing about my childhood years, where life seemed so much simpler.
Click, Bang! Reload. & Someone called me a human; I was offended.
I think writing is a form of therapy at times, and so I looked at this poem as a way to rearrange words and phrases in a way that could help me face my fear.
And Now She's Gone
I wrote this short story a little while ago when I was thinking about an old friend. I really liked the rough draft I began with and I continued to workshop the story, taking out and adding new parts. While the narrative changed throughout the process, the characters stayed generally the same.
Love is Blueming
This collection of poems is called Love is Blueming as each poem relates to both love, and the color blue. I chose the color blue because it is a beautiful color that represents many things, mainly loyalty, imagination, and inspiration.
Poetry Collection
These poems are fictional stories but the themes all relate to experiences and emotions I have. "Its the End and the Beginning All Over Again" is the narrator reminiscing through the seasons of her childhood and how everything has changed since then.
In the Cobble Stone Cracks
I created this piece of writing a couple of years ago when I was new to the creative writing program and now that I have continued to pursue this talent of mine I've revised and adapted the piece so that I am now able to feel proud of it.
Hope a Conquest
I recently moved to the US from India and my pieces each reflect different emotions centred around my move. Moving halfway across the globe is stressful enough and my first piece 'Hope - A Conquest' talks about how I wake up everyday to find the smallest of things inspiring me to be hopeful when things seem bleak and out of control.
One in a Galaxy, You are the Sun
1) This artwork reflects my struggles with family dynamics. It explains the cycle that ensues with a sibling.
2) This artwork reflects the feeling of eagerly wanting to make the person you love happy out of love.
Promising. Young. Woman.
Most of my poetry is very personal and mostly fueled by my emotions at a given moment. This particular poem however is not inspired by personal experience but from a movie I watched called Promising Young Woman.
Calling, The Intersection of Pressure and Purpose, 22 Things That Happened Last Week
As a writer of creative nonfiction, my poetry not only draws inspiration from my personal experiences, but it recreates them. Through my poetry, I seek deeper truths about my own life. I also hope to extend my life to readers to contemplate life from new perspectives and to seek understanding over our common experiences.
I Don't Have an Eating Disorder
I wrote this poem in the middle of the night, in the midst of a mental breakdown, and I wasn’t expecting it to be of substance. But I revisited it in the morning and spent some time revising it.
Walking on the Wrong Side
This here is a short screenplay titled "Walking On The Wrong Side". The script is the telling of a teenage girl with Asperger's named Jenna. She goes through her day as if she were an artificial being in her own small imagination.
