• Artist Statement

  My piece represents how I perceive a lot of our beauty standards, especially for women. I do believe that the beauty standards are slowly changing, and I really appreciate that. However, when growing up, I genuinely believed that if I wasn’t pretty I couldn’t be happy, so being able to write about how I felt is a huge relief.

• Creative Statement

  There are a lot of things that I can't say out loud, and putting them into writing really helps me express myself.
