This is a realistic art piece of an elephant that I made for my Freshman year final.

I created this art work when I was in Freshman year.

I’ve always been fascinated by bats, there are so many in the world and they all look so different, the vampire bats and the fruit bats.

These poems were all written over the summer, inspired by my connections with the world around me. The first poem connects a thunderstorm I experienced in Missouri with the virtual world, describing the undercurrent of fear that runs through both. The second poem references my own incomplete sense of belonging, tying it both to the desert landscapes of California and the unknown vastness of outer space. The final poem is a reflection on what it's like for the memory of someone to be forgotten. Drawing upon the real examples of roadside cemeteries, I try to contemplate the impermanence of memory and the ease with which it is hidden.

For this artwork, I explored one of the many scenes that I Imagine with my original character named Konn.

Being born in America and being half Latino half white, this art was to remind me of Mexico.

Hello my name is Yahir and I am 16 years old. I am currently a sophomore in high school and this is my second year playing varsity soccer.

Although many concertos focus on virtuosity--seeking to display an artist's technical prowess--one of Barber's concerto's beautiful aspects is how it focuses on emotion and expression. The second movement is a religious experience of sorts--pushing artists to find a way to transfer the feeling of an otherworldly experience for the listener.
