My artwork was a drawing of myself holding a plum.

My drawing is an original character named Mika. She is the main character of a comic book I am making.

I used the outline of an owl and inserted images inside of it to form a new and unified design.

I made a Catrina out of newspaper and wire, my Catrinas dress, sweater, flowers and head are made out of newspaper and I used a flour and water paste to put everything together.

My art work is an array of different styles and techniques.

My artwork is my own idea and creation of an Alebrije, which is a fictional creature that has a purpose of spiritually guiding people and this originated from the Mexican and Aztec folk culture. Alebrijes are designs of more than one animal fused together covered in bright colors and a variety of patterns and shapes.

My artwork contains a woman wearing a mask that contains many anti-Asian hate slogans around it. Furthermore, this was created during the "Stop Asian Hate" protests and is trying to symbolize the community coming together to heal during these rough times.

Using pictures I took during walks in the afternoon I made a composite image that intends to convey the comforting quiet that accompanied me on those short travels.

This work’s focus is on the center of the collage because it’s purpose is to stand out from the background. I painted my cat on a piece of plastic then cut out colored pieces from magazines.

I wanted to make a drawing that popped so I drew a drawing in black and white then "poured" color on top.

I wanted to take an interesting reference photo from a photographer that I really admire and make it more abstract. I chose to paint many layers and with many different techniques and colors in order to accentuate certain things.

The theme for this piece was movement, and I thought that the sound of music portrays music. Music is an important part in my life, especially playing the guitar.

My work is rooted in surrealism, attempting to merge dreams with reality.

I tried to create this piece with composition in mind. I wanted to create depth into the page and used the tissue to create a sort of ground for the drawing to exist on.

During the creation of this piece of artwork, we really channeled our inner emotions to form the mood.

This piece represents feeling distracted and lost in thought, despite being surrounded by other people. Even in the midst of a crowd, it's easy to feel alone and isolated.

When I create my work I like to be clean and somewhat minimalistic but also have depth, character, and details that aren't super obvious.
