Shared San Francisco
This photo was taken at a memorial for young people of color killed by police brutality, which happened to occur at the same location and time as a demonstration for the rights of indigenous peoples in America.
The Hot Dog Man
I took this picture in Manhattan on a hot day in late summer after apporaching the man selling me a hot dog and asking to take his portrait, granted he spoke little English.
Light Waves
For this image I was experimenting with slow shutter-speed and moving vehicles. After experimenting for a bit, I decided to move my camera, in order to create these lines of light.
Appie juice
Artistic process for me would be taking things I enjoy and conveying them through my artwork. When I take a photograph, enjoying what I am capturing is very important.
Seagull with the Sunset
The way I do art is that I just go with what I think looks neat or just what I want to do at the time.
Soul Drummer
This photo displays the deep connection this drummer has with his form of art - music.
Different Perspective
This picture I took represents my type of photography. I like images that have reflections using still water. I was with my friends at lunch and I saw a big puddle of water so I told my friend to stand next to it and I took some pictures.
Fowl Iridescence
My image, titled Fowl Iridescence, was taken spontaneously while spending time with my chickens. The contrast of light and dark, along with the shimmer from the iridescent feathers, makes this image feel hopeful.
Looking Up
When taking this photo I I was in San Francisco when I took this photo and I had just been walking by and thought the design on the floor seemed really cool and I decided to take a picture really quick.
Hide and Seek
When taking this photo I wanted it to look like someone looking in from the outside, but with help from the people around me I came to the conclusion that it looked like someone was hiding.
Ocean Beach
The beach is my home place. The coast is where I belong. The medicine I take is the ocean air.
Morning Dew
This project was inspired by different white balance features on the camera, and a gorgeous array of colors caught my eye. They had a little bit of morning dew on them, and I thought the water in addition to the colors could make a beautiful image that makes the viewer feel like they are in nature.
Dew Flower
I took this photo on a cold morning when I was walking around and saw all the plants were covered in dew.
South Rim View
The true beauty of the Grand Canyon cannot be captured by any photo. When you are there is no longer a two dimensional object confined within a square.
Never Witnin Reach
For a majority of the artwork that I make, and end up liking, all ties into a certain memory or feeling that I strongly connect too.
Birth Of Me
My piece addresses the effect that the realization that human kind is past the point of help has on my generation and our want to bring about further generations.
Mother Volga
A couple years ago I stumbled across a book by John Koenig called The Dictionary of Obscure Sorrows, filled with words created to describe previously unnamed feelings. “Agnothesia” and “austice" jumped out at me, but most of all, "sonder" caught my eye.
