Coral De-Bleaching
I wanted to create a vibrant piece showing corals in a healthy environment and state.
Contemplating
I started with a few lines and indications of space between parts of the face. I leave the darkest colors for last so I filled in the large portions/ lightest colors.
Chrome Cross
Something inside of me really made me want to draw a cross with a lot of stars surrounding it.
Childhood Memories
This piece draws from cultural aspects of Japan reflected through aspects of childhood memories.
Cat with Scrunchie
This is a pencil drawing of my cat, I wanted to use a bit of a silly photo and make it look a little bit more serious than it was initially.
Carrying His Burdens Alone
Shading realistically is a really calming thing to do in my opinion. In my art work, I take my time to see if there is anything I can make better.
Build-a-Body
This piece talks about the idea that people can choose the way they look by using different medications to supposedly make themselves skinny.
Broken Glass
I attempted to create an unconventional shape with this work by rounding the edges and forcing a more curved side to this piece.
Borneo Shark
This is a scientific specimen of the Borneo Shark which is an extremely rare and critically endangered species.
Blur of Loneliness
The theme for my portfolio was a “blur,” and I forced myself to create a self-portrait of myself in soft pastels.
