Shoes and Mug
This is a drawing of a pair of my shoes and my favorite mug that I drew for a school assignment.
Sisterly Love
My piece is a representation of the dynamic a sibling relationship has. The comfort as well as protection an older sister can provide.
Untitled
My intention is to show that there are more than generational experiences of trauma for African-Americans living in American society where white beauty has historically been the standard of beauty and still very much is. Although this aspect of the African-American experience, which is often and rightfully depicted in certain artwork is extremely important to acknowledge, I wanted to also highlight (demonstrated in the figure's purposeful stance) an equally important facet of strength and power.
Never Enough
There is never one side to a story, this piece represents the constrictions I've felt and feel now.
Orange Lotus
I constructed this piece when I was doing online school during quarantine. I originally built the shape of the front and back of my piece out of cardboard and then I went into nature to find inspiration for what designs could fit in the shape I cut out of cardboard.
Naruto & Sasuke vs Jigen
This artwork is two middle aged friends (the purple and orange ninja) that are fighting a god (the white one).
Psychadelic
Once they left, I wanted to capture that beauty she saw, the foreign and new visual that didn't look like anything she'd seen before.
Dreamer’s Bed
To me, it doesn’t matter much if an image is visually appealing if it doesn’t strike me with any emotion.
The Living Bubbles
This piece is called, "The Living Bubbles," this captured the moment of the fluidity of a jellyfish. In life we all must be fluid, moving where life takes us, and a jellyfish does exactly that, they flow through the ocean, where ever the current takes them.
Como la Flor
This means to me each time I take a picture, it will show how life back then changed so much in 2021 and taking pictures brings me peace and joy to see surrounding.
Autumn Bliss
My work is intended to bring the viewer into the scene, for them to feel present. I attempt to make my photos communicative and relatable, something one could look at and feel connected to.
the train stop
I started by making this image because I just needed a distraction from what was going on my life at that point, so I called my friend and asked if he wanted to go take some random pictures.
Reflection of colors
This photo has helped me reach some goals like getting the right angle and the perfect lighting all in the same photo. I could not be more proud of myself. I learned that with the right amount of dedication it will lead me to my expectations.
