My piece is a representation of the dynamic a sibling relationship has. The comfort as well as protection an older sister can provide. It is based on my own experience and relationship with my sister. The artwork depicts an older sister holding the younger sister as a light “shield” pushes back the darkness surrounding them.

Creativity in my opinion is the ability to take aspects of art you like and transform them into something your own. I don’t think creativity has to be something never done before or truly original because part of creating art is being able to admire others work and incorporating it into your own.
