Shoes and Mug

This is a drawing of a pair of my shoes and my favorite mug that I drew for a school assignment. I used a grid method to get the proportions correct, and I first drew the rough shapes in light pencil. Then, continuing in pencil, I drew some of the smaller details until I had the general picture put down in pencil. Then, I outlined everything in pen and used hatching and cross-hatching to shade, and once I was done, I erased the all of the pencil.

To me, creativity means putting your feelings and the contents of your imagination out into the real world, whether that be through visual art, music, or writing. Creativity means not trying to blend in with what others are doing, and always trusting yourself and your process no matter what.
