Untitled
I started writing with inspiration from the old, western saloon setting. I wanted to build off of that western world idea, but make it unique in some way while still fitting within the 500 word restriction. I decided to take that saloon setting and apply it to our area, specifically San Francisco around the Gold Rush.
Dream Sequence
I was tasked to make a dream of sorts by my teacher and this is what I came up with.
The Network
The Network is a short documentary exploring mycorrhizal networks and the link between mushrooms and trees.
The Apple Tree
I feel like as a young filmmaker, making horror films isn't very popular and a difficult task. I wanted to take a risk and create a film I've never done anything like before. I had a very short amount of time, as well as limited tools and no extra support. My vision for my film was to make an adventurous, nature-oriented film because of the big backyard and several fruit trees I have.
Quick Draw
One of my favorite genres depicts parts of the wild west, such as cowboys, outlaws, and gunslingers, so I decided to make a short film that portrayed this in particular with a small duel, that also takes inspiration from films such as The Good, The Bad and the Ugly.
Don’t Look Back
The film is a horror film about a man running away from an unknown entity.
Women’s March
My partner and I truly experienced being a journalist first hand as she took photos, I captured the moments of a protest in San Francisco through video, together we wrote an article describing the event.
Bay Area Heartbreak
"Bay Area Heartbreak" is a journey through an unfortunate sports fan's life.
Making Room Music Video
This video was a project I worked on during my sophomore year when the world went into lockdown. This project allowed me to reflect on the beauty of chaos. Despite everything that was going on in the world, I was learning more about myself, my identity, and who I was.
Penelope’s Shroud
To create this piece I first did a pencil outline, then used pen to shade. However, I used no reference images to create the piece. This drawing was created with the effects of climate change in mind, and is titled Penelope's Shroud.
The Corporeal Barrier
My project, which I’ve titled “The Corporeal Barrier”, is a showcase of the inexplicable deterrent everyone feels at one time or another. I’ve titled it this because it tries to show that discouraging feeling as if it had a body.
Little White Dresses
This is a song for every artist who works hard everyday but still feels like they will never achieve their goals. I am a dedicated jazz saxophonist and was practicing four hours a day until all of my repertoire and college auditions got the better of me.
