This piece was one of the first poems I have completed, and I feel makes a good case for the importance of format and what it can add to literary work. This was originally part of a collection of three other poems but I feel it is stronger as a stand-alone feature. This poem explores a specific perspective towards life and how time weathers your will to survive. It shows the decision to lean into perpetual repetition or instead seek a final resolution.

Writing allows you to share an understanding of yourself and how you perceive the world around you. Written work helps us understand history, society, and ourselves. To me writing is just one of many modes of creativity, and creativity is the most vulnerable expression of self.
