My Expression of Love through Food
These pieces of artwork were dedicated to close family members. We love to try new recipes together, challenge our cooking and baking skills and bond over eating home-cooked meals.
Lucid Anxiety
I made this acrylic pop-art-inspired portrait in a school art class. I referenced an edited photo of my classmate that I had created.
Drifting Jellyfish
I was inspired by jellyfish light fixtures on Pinterest, I wanted it to be about my struggles with mental health; how it feels like you are constantly treading water trying to stay afloat, drifting with the water’s currents, and not really knowing what’s going to happen or what’s going to happen next, just existing in the present, serene, calm and numb.
The Prettiest
This piece was done of my good friend, I made this piece to try and express how beautiful she was to me and gift her something to remind her of our friendship.
What Does It Mean to Be Human
I started by going through 2 magazines that we got in the mail and just cutting out everything that I liked or that inspired me.
Determination
The woman in my drawing has a facial expression that illustrates determination and concentration.
