This is a charcoal drawing I made from a still life.

This art piece was a step out of my comfort zone since this is something I haven't worked with before.

This art work was inspired by my African heritage.

I was inspired to make this work because I wanted to test my hand with making a trompe l’œil cup that would confuse the brain as to the medium it was made out of.

No matter where I am, I am always filled with different narratives flowing through my head.

This art piece was created to depict that although the struggles and difficulties of life may be pulling you down, there is a ray of hope shining through ones eyes, knowing that things will soon get better.
