Mozart’s Fantasia No. 3 in D minor K397

Music has always been a way for me to connect with the past while expressing my emotions in the present. Performing Mozart’s Fantasia No. 3 in D minor feels like stepping into a dialogue with one of history’s greatest composers. This piece, with its dramatic contrasts, challenges me to explore both technical precision and emotional depth. Through my interpretation, I aim to bring out the tension between darkness and light that Mozart masterfully weaves into this work, a journey starting in melancholy D minor and concluding in hopeful D major. For my Creative Youth Awards entry, I had to edit my performance so that it could be under 5 minutes - I removed the repetitions in the D major part and the ending - this Mozart piece is considered incomplete, and the ending was added by Muller some years later. But I hope listeners feel inspired by my excerpt of this masterpiece.

For me, creativity is about exploring new perspectives, expressing emotions, and connecting with others in ways that inspire and resonate. Whether through music, art, or problem-solving, creativity is a blend of curiosity, imagination, and the courage to bring visions to life.
