I’ve recently been in the process of applying to music school, as I’ve been a violinist for the past 11 years and I would like to continue my musical journey in college. This Rode Caprice, part of my audition repertoire, is a piece I’ve been working on for the past few months with my private instructor, and I also played it at a masterclass to deepen my interpretation of the piece. I’ve come a long way as a musician through this process, deepening my commitment and dedication to my instrument and gaining and improving upon many techniques as a violinist. Ultimately, it is my goal to continue spreading joy to others by sharing music.
