This piece of three high school students washing plant pots exemplifies the importance of community service even during challenging times, like during the COVID pandemic. During the pandemic, we tended to feel more separated and alone, but through volunteering, I was able to strengthen my bond with others while doing meaningful work and learning new skills. The sense of unity and purpose that I’ve gained from serving my community is an unparalleled delight.
