This piece took me months to create. It was a back and forth of collage, layering ink, and acrylic, ripping pieces off, and collaging more onto the canvas, until I finally reached a piece I was happy with.

Creating art helps me process anything going on in my life. I create art that feels familiar and true to my identity even when it’s born out of something strange or unfamiliar. Art also allows me to preserve the beautiful moments of comfort in my life forever, in something tangible.
