This is a 6 by 6 oil and encaustic painting. Despite its bland appearance I really stepped out of my comfort zone and tried encaustic which is something completely foreign, and new to me. I attempted to create a scenic and dreamy view depicted in oil, then utilize encaustic overtop to create a soft dampening layer in order to portray a hazy yet cozy atmosphere for this piece I feel as though I certainly could have added more interesting aspects but I wanted to maintain a very familiar and comforting feel to this little painting so I decided to keep it simple. In the future I will continue to work and experiment with encaustic and hopefully new mediums as well!

I constantly generate new fun ideas and by utilizing oil or watercolor I am able to try and bring them to life. Portraying and depicted my ideas brings me a lot of joy and is one of my only means of relaxation during my relatively stress filled schooldays.
