Medium: wax (encaustic painting)
I made the artwork by layering the wax and then inlaying ink. After finding myself happy with the variation in the wax I used oil paint to add color and deepen the effect of the variations.

Exploring and expressing my creativity enables me to find a sense of freedom and peace. Encaustic further enhances that sense with it being a free flowing medium. When doing encaustic you can simply watch the wax settle, watching the layers of your peace take shape.
