First, I started with drawing the bird, the flower, and the sun with pencil. Then, I taped the edges to create a border. After taping the edges I began to fill in the empty space between the large objects with triangles, rectangles, squares, (ect.) and some of these shapes turned out to be big or small. After I had completely filled in the canvas with shapes I began to individually paint every shape. I lined my paints up in a line and once I was done with a specific color I put it in the back of the line. I then removed the tape and painted the border an off white, to give it a bit of a glossy look. Once I finished with painting I began to outline every shape. Finally, I outlined the internal border with black.

Expressing my creativity is a major de-stressor for me. When I have a big test or a project due, I paint and it helps me focus on something that is relaxing.
