My piece is a moment in time. An oil painting capturing my senior year in high school, and my last year of real childhood. In the painting, my far off gaze represents the future, and what lies ahead, while the oranges represent my past, and the people and experiences that have solidified my roots.

I find that when I truly have time, when I don't have homework or deadlines, I always come back to art. The possibility of a future project is what gets me through the mundanity of everyday work. Art and creativity is my escape.
