Promise

Rylee Quinn R.

  • As children, pinky promises embody the highest form of confidence in another person. Growing older, however, they begin to lose their meaning, becoming nothing more than a silly, elementary tradition. At the same time, promises in general begin to lose their substance because of the countless times they have been broken. This embroidered piece is for the people who continue to keep their promises—the ones who protect the trust given to them. To those individuals, no matter where they are or how old they may be, there will always be a bond that ties them together.

  • As a child, I used to have vivid nightmares about what would come after I took my final breath, but consequently, it drove me to live my life to the fullest. Exploring my creativity became an outlet for filtering and expressing all the beauties and complexities of life I experienced.
