Play From the Soul

This piece took me quite a while, where I wanted to try my hardest to create a piece that showed happiness and peace, two people just enjoying their passions, playing their heart out to the world, and ignoring everything that troubles their minds. It's a safe reality, a haven away from our society right now, where we are dealing with the pandemic, racism, and other social issues. The art is in black and white, a relation to the old fashioned movies my grandparents and parents loved, where people were always happy and singing, and the viewers would love it, whether the color was present or not, since the emotions could already be clearly felt through the screen. I hope the viewer looks at this drawing and feels safe and in comfort, and thinks about their hobbies and what their passion is, and relate to the musicians in the art how they also love their passions dearly and how its their own safe haven.

Exploring and expressing my creativity helps me put my imagination down onto paper and helps me express my thoughts and emotions whereas an introvert, sometime I struggle to do in person with friends, so art helps me exactly do that.
