To someone who fails to view life with the same nuance as everyone else, the world seems oversaturated and nauseatingly colorful. I started this piece the week I was discharged from the hospital; My goal was to capture the familiar experience of exhaustion, isolation, invalidation, and disconnect amongst those with invisible disabilities. In a culture that prioritizes surface-level character, we often spend our days in a vivid and incomprehensible limbo.
