I was with my grandmother in her backyard and in the light I saw her hands. her ring was shining and looked so happy. I asked if I could take a picture of her hands and she agreed. I wanted to take a picture of her hands because they show so much life and they show what she has been through. The drama in the texture of her skin give the photo so much emotion.

Being able to express my creativity allows me to express who I am and what I feel. With photography I am able to get away from the normal condiments of the classroom. I am able to pursue the things that Im interested in. Photography allows me to be me.
