This artwork is based on the experience of my first sleepover, this piece shows how a child's imagination can warp the most innocent things. I painted the background yellow to make the screen look happy and full of light. However, where the mind warps the scene I painted the area black. This piece also has two forms of mixed media, the first is two paper collage monsters, and the other is a "Happy Birthday" sign that I carefully cut out and attached to string. There were a lot of challenges with the designs and placement of the room, but in the end I'm very happy about how it turned out.

Art has always been an important part of my life. My goal is to attend an art college after high school, where I hope to learn how to animate and work with talented people. After graduating, I hope to work at an animation studio and pursue my dreams in visual storytelling.
