The piece and my pieces in general aren’t meant to make you feel a specific feeling. In a way the process of making a piece is what evokes those emotions. I like to mix ideas and concepts that make me happy. In this piece I really wanted to make something that reminded me of the “Keane Eyes” yet still being my own. In my younger days I always loved her doe-like style but felt ashamed I couldn’t draw or paint like her. This piece is a way of going back to those days with the child-like colors and style but still being soft and slightly somber.
