Ocean Breeze Scene

My hand embroidery artwork is a colorful ocean breeze scene. It took a long time, totaling 2 weeks. I started by tracing a drawing onto the fabric and stitched about 5 different shades of blue to create the ocean 5 more different colors for the sky. I used back stitch to outline and satin stitch to fill in my piece. It was a very soothing process and it had kept me entertained during the fall break and was very fun to do.

With art I find I could expand my imagination through dreams and desires. The process involves a lot of reflection towards the past, present, and future, and recreating it on a blank canvas. I like to create stories with my art pieces, where each one has their own unique story line and characters.
