• Artist Statement

  Heart Surgery is a mixed media of a photo I took in downtown San Jose and digital drawing through the Procreate program. It captures the hopelessness of climate change; like the heart of our future has been cut out and the systems that perpetuate the harm to our planet are hammered into the woodwork of society.

• Creative Statement

  I have explored many creative outlets, but drawing and creative writing are the ones that most allow me to express myself. The skills learned from both are adaptable and often used in school to release my emotions when stressed. Through art, I understand myself and the world around me.
