Title: Dance, in Reflection

Photo shows my high school’s dance team performing during our 2023 “Big Blue Madness” Rally, a glow in the dark rally to celebrate the start of basketball season. Working for yearbook, I always challenge myself to get creative when documenting school events. With that in mind, I used the reflection of the team’s glowing outfits against the gym floor to create a scene split in two.

Exploring my creativity allows me to see beauty in every aspect of the world, no matter how minuscule. Wherever I go I notice that I am a more aware person, of the way the light seeps through cracks, of patterns and colors, or the tiny interactions of people- the overall simple beauty of our world.
