Through a period of a month in a half, I carefully planned out and created a birdhouse to represent, indigenous pride. By using bright colors and symbolism such as the naturalistic aspect as well as the fact that it's a bird house symbolizing Aztec ancestors passing through realms. I believed it was important to make a piece of art to honor the ancestors that once walked on this earth.

As a person of color using the art of painting and ceramics allows me to express my emotional state. I especially enjoy creating art about social awareness; BLM, Native American and Indigenous appreciation, Chicano and Mexican awareness, Immigrant awareness etc.
