Vals Op. 8 No. 4 by Agustin Barrios

Nicolas G.

  • I have dedicated over five years to learning and perfecting this piece. The first time I heard it, I was captivated by its beauty and immediately knew I had to learn it. Over the course of a year, I practiced diligently with my teacher and performed a version of it at a recital. A few years later, while working on my college art portfolio, I revisited the piece and was once again struck by its brilliance. Over the past few months, I’ve been refining it further and felt inspired to share it as part of the Creative Youth Awards.

  • Creativity is finding new ways to explore and express ideas. It’s about connecting things that might not seem related and turning them into something unique. For me, it’s the freedom to take what I imagine and turn it into something real that feels meaningful and personal.
