I wrote this song about someone whose hatred towards themselves ends up destroying the other person in the relationship in the process. This person believes they are unworthy of love therefore, they pretend that it is not of necessity. They play up this outward persona of not feeling these deep emotions that most people feel. As the narrator got so close to knowing them and seeing it through, they have a hard time letting it go. Pretending that they could’ve or even did work out. I was very inspired by personal experiences. I feel like many people can relate to being in both sides. Within a relationship, it is very important to know and appreciate yourself enough to appreciate the love you are given and this song is a testament to that.

For meaning, I would say creativity is bending the world into one specific medium to convey a message ( whether that be visual arts, film or music). What it means to me is everything I could not breathe without creativity in my life.
