• Artist Statement

  I wrote and performed the song ”Star Power” through an original character of mine named Anastasia. Anastasia is a pop star with the stage name PonyInPink (as seen on the album art that I created). She’s a bit ditzy and vain and over-the-top, and all of this is expressed in ”Star Power.” This project was so fun for me to be able explore PonyInPink’s character, and step into her confidence while writing it. I learned a lot about my creative process in making ”Star Power,” and it has inspired me to continue writing music. I used GarageBand to record and mix it, and I used Procreate to make the album cover art.
