Hurricane

This piece represents my response to the song “Hurricane” by Eden Golan, which recounts the tragic events of October 7th in Israel. The song conveys the profound impact of that day on Jewish life, emphasizing the brokenness and loss of words that followed the attack, yet also highlighting the persistent hope and empowerment found in unity. I connected deeply with this message, not only in relation to October 7th but also in my own life, drawing inspiration from the unity of my family and friends during challenging times. These strong emotions guided my movements, allowing me to convey this powerful message through my choreography. This oscillation of dynamics in the artist’s voice emphasizes the opposition of the climax versus the mellow parts of the music, which I then reflected in my choreography.

The relationship between movements, shapes, and dynamics inspires my creative voice.
