• Artist Statement

  ”faded ink” is a piece about growth and renewal, showing that everyone can make a change and positively grow out of any situation. Through the letters in the piece, I wanted to show emotional tension and the hardship that someone will go through while trying to reach out for help. I think it is super important to show the relief of letting go and moving on. The letters are a symbol of revisiting past struggle but also being open to new growth; not feeling pain when seeing them but feeling proud to have moved past it.
