Promenade

Emmerson T.

  • I wrote this on a bench on the Brooklyn Promenade, which the title is inspired by. The sun was setting, lowering behind a building. The Promenade overlooks the Statue of Liberty, the Brooklyn Bridge, skyscrapers and the ocean. This poem is one of the most special things I have written. It brings back the memory of a beautiful place where I was really happy, and the piece really connects with me. Being out in the world inspires me to write. I love people watching and observing my surroundings.

  • Creativity is exploration and expression of the uncharted, the unique self, and humanity.
